Fried Gyoza by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

Gyoza Strip:

  • White flour 2 cup
  • Eggs 2
  • Corn flour ½ cup
  • Oil for fry
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required

For Filling:

  • Prawns 125 gm
  • Boneless chicken 250 gm
  • Green onion 1 to 2 sticks
  • White pepper powder 1 tsp
  • Soya sauce 1 tsp
  • Chinese salt 1 pinch

For Sauce:

  • Japanese soya sauce ½ cup
  • Lemon juice 4 tbsp
  • Chopped green onion 2 to 3 sticks

For Garnish:

  • Cabbage as required
  • Sesame oil as required

Method:

  1. For sauce: Add all ingredients in mixing bowl and mix it. Sauce is ready.
  2. For geuza strip: Put white flour, cup corn flour, eggs, water and salt and knead it.
  3. Then roll roti thin and long.
  4. Now cut them with round utensil.
  5. For filling: Put prawns, chicken, green onion sticks, white pepper powder,  Chinese salt and salt to taste in chopped, make paste and keep aside.
  6. For geuza: Put chicken mixture in geuza stripes and and fold in round moon shape on edges with eggs.
  7. Now put oil in pan and grease it.
  8. Then keep 5 to 6 geuza at a time.
  9. When geuza starts frying, put 2 to 3 tbsp water and cover it for 1 to 2 minutes.
  10. Then open cover and take out geuza.
  11. In end, dish out it and serve with gueza sauce and cabbage.
