Sweet Mutton Korma by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

  • Mutton 1 kg
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Whole spices 1 tbsp
  • Fried onion 3/4 cup
  • Yogurt 1-1/4 cup
  • Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  • Kashmiri chilli powder 1/2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tbsp
  • Black cumin seeds 1/2 tbsp
  • White cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  • Whole spices powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Almonds 10-12
  • Green cardamom 6-7
  • Poppy seeds 1 tsp
  • Jaggery to taste
  • Mixed nuts 1 cup
  • Blanched almonds to taste
  • Coconut slices to taste
  • Dry dates to taste
  • Cashew nuts to taste
  • Oil as required

Method:

  1. First, boil mutton with whole spices and ginger garlic paste.
  2. When mutton is done keep it aside.
  3. Now fry all the nuts, put them aside.
  4. In that oil, fry the earlier boiled mutton.
  5. In yogurt, Add the red chilli powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, fried onion, coriander powder, white and black cumin seeds.
  6. Then fry the mixture with mutton.
  7. Now add almonds, cardamom powder, and jaggery and mixed nuts.
  8. Let them cook on a low flame, serve.
  9. Garnish with remaining nuts and whole spices.
