Center Filled Potato Candies by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

  • Boiled mashed potato 1-3/4 cup
  • Caster sugar 3-4 cup
  • Grated coconut 1 cup
  • Chocolate 2 cups
  • Nutella 1 cup
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Butter 2-3 tbsp
  • Salt a pinch

Method:

  1. First, spoon out the nutella drops on butter paper and keep in freezer, mean while, beat potatoes with salt, essence on low speed.
  2. Add sugar gradually, when it forms into dough, stop the beater and add grated coconut in potatoes, cover and refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes or freezer for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. After 15-20 minutes, take it out the material and nutella drops (frozen), as well dust your hands with powdered sugar to make potato balls.
  4. Enclose the frozen nutella drops in potato balls.
  5. Again freeze for 5 to 7 minutes.
  6. Now melt the chocolate and butter.
  7. Take out the potato balls, dip them in melted chocolate, freeze till firm for 5 to 7 minutes, and serve.
