Daal Sabzi by Rida Aftab

Ingredients:
- Boiled pigeon lentil 2 cups
- Potato 1
- Carrot 1
- Peas 1 cup
- Curry leaves 10
- Tomatoes 250 gm
- Salt 1 tsp
- Turmeric 1 tsp
- Carom powder 1/2 tsp
- Red chili 1-1/2 tsp
- Lemon juice 1/2 cup
- Green coriander, Green chilies as required
For Tarka:
- Oil 1/2 cup
- Cumin 2 tsp
- Garlic cloves 4
- Red chilies 10
Method:
- First put potato, carrot, peas, tomatoes, curry leaves, salt, carom powder and red chili in boiled pigeon lentil and cook on low flame.
- When tender, add lemon juice.
- Then put green coriander and green chilies.
- For tarka: Heat oil, put cumin, garlic cloves and red chilies, fry it and put on lentil.
- In end, sprinkle green coriander and green chilies and serve.
