Fish Saag Methi by Rida Aftab

Ingredients:

  • Fish 1 kg
  • Boiled spinach 1 kg
  • Fenugreek leaves 1/2 kg
  • Green chilies 50 gm
  • Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Sour yogurt 275 gm
  • Cream 1/2 cup

For Fish Marination:

  • Red chili 1 tsp
  • Garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Carom seeds 1 tsp
  • Gram flour 2 tbsp
  • Rice flour 2 tbsp
  • Oil 1 cup

Method:

  1. First marinate fish with red chili, garlic paste, carom seeds, gram flour and rice flour and leave for 1 hour. Then heat oil and fry it.
  2. After that, put ginger garlic paste in remaining oil.
  3. When fragrance comes, add 1/2 cup water.
  4. Now put green chilies.
  5. Together put sour yogurt, fenugreek leaves, salt and turmeric and roast it.
  6. After that, put boiled spinach and dry it on high flame.
  7. Then add fish and cream, keep on simmer for 5 minutes and close stove.
  8. Fish saag methi is ready.
