Ingredients:
For Filling:
- Mixed nuts (almonds, pistachios and raisins) 1 cup
- Poppy seeds 1 tbsp
- Caster sugar 1 cup
- Coconut powder 3/4 cup
For Poori:
- Flour 2 cups
- Sugar 1 tbsp
- Soda bi-carb 1/2 tsp
- Ghee 1/4 cup
- Water for mixing the above
Method:
- For the filling: Dry roast the coconut powder, poppy seeds, almonds and pistachios on the stove. Remove from the stove and then add sugar.
- To make pooriyan: Knead the flour by adding sugar, soda bi-carb, ghee in little bit of lukewarm water.
- The consistency of the batter should be soft.
- Mix a small amount of flour in rose water.
- This will be used for closing the poori.
- Make small loaves shaped poori.
- Include the filling and then deep fry in oil.
