Ingredients:

  • Butter 4 oz
  • Caster sugar 6 oz
  • Eggs 2
  • Flour 5 oz
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Baking soda pinch
  • Butter milk 1/2 cup
  • Caramel essence few drops

For Caramel Almonds Topping:

  • Almonds toasted 3/4 cup
  • Sugar 3/4 cup
  • Cream 1/3 cup
  • Salt pinch
  • Butter 1 tbsp
  • Caramel essence few drops

Method:

  1. Grease 8 inch cake pan.
  2. Now strain flour, baking powder and baking soda.
  3. Beat butter and caster sugar until fluffy.
  4. Then add eggs 1 by 1 and beat it nicely.
  5. Now put caramel essence and put flour and butter milk.
  6. Then put again flour and butter milk, fold it and bake on 180 degrees C for 30 minutes.
  7. For topping: Caramelize sugar.
  8. Now add cream, salt and butter.
  9. Then fold almonds toasted and put on cake.
