Roghni Korma by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:
- Salt 1-1/2 tsp
- Chicken 1 kg
- Chopped onion 2
- Yogurt 1 cup
- Garlic 6 cloves
- Ghee 1/2 cup
- Bay leaf 1
- Whole spices 1 tbsp
- Button red chili 12
- Poppy seeds 1 tbsp
- Coriander seeds 1-1/2 tsp
Method:
- Grind button red chilies, garlic cloves, poppy seeds and whole coriander seeds.
- Heat ghee, fry the onion, add the bay leaf, mixed whole spices and add the ground masala paste and fry well till ghee comes on top.
- Then add beaten yogurt with chicken fry well for 10 minutes and then add 1 cup water.
- Add salt, cover the pan and simmer on low flame till chicken tender and thick gravy remains.
