Chana Daal Karahi by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:
- Split bengal gram 500 gm
- Tomatoes 3-4
- Ginger garlic 2 tbsp
- Green chilies 8-10
- Red chilies 1-2 tbsp
- Black pepper 1 tsp
- Fennel seeds 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
- Carom seeds 1 pinch
- Fenugreek seeds 1/2 tsp
- Ghee 1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
- Ginger sliced for garnish
Method:
- Heat ghee in karahi pan, put ginger garlic and roast it.
- Now add green chilies and mix well.
- Then put tomatoes and roast it.
- Now add split bengal gram, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, carom seeds, red chilies, black pepper and salt, mix it well and roast it.
- Then put green chilies and fenugreek seeds, mix it well and cook it.
- When lentil tender and masala dries, take out in serving dish.
- Garnish with ginger sliced and serve.
