Vanilla Glazed Doughnuts by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:
- Milk 3/4 cup
- Unsalted butter 3 oz
- Flour 3-1/4 cup
- Fine sugar 3 oz
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Instant yeast 2-1/2 tsp
- Eggs 2
- Vanilla 1/2 tsp
For Vanilla Glaze:
- Unsalted butter 6 tbsp
- Icing sugar 2-1/2 cup
- Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
- Hot water 5 tbsp
Method:
- Put milk and unsalted butter in sauce pan and heat until it melts.
- Now remove from stove.
- Mix flour, sugar, salt and instant yeast together in mixing bowl, beat on high speed and mix it.
- Now put hot milk mixture and beat on medium speed until it blend well.
- Then add eggs and vanilla and beat for 2 minutes until it is mixed.
- Now put remaining milk and beat for 1 minute so that it becomes soft dough.
- Then take out dough in greased bowl and leave it on warm place for 45 minutes until it rises.
- Now roll dough in circle and cut with round doughnut cutter.
- Now put doughnuts and holes on greased sheet.
- Now cover doughnuts with clean towel for 30 minutes, leave for rise until puffy.
- Then deep fry 2-3 doughnuts one at a time until golden.
- Now turn it.
- When doughnuts is hot, dip in vanilla glaze and keep on wire rack until glaze set.
- For vanilla glaze: Mix all ingredients in bowl and whisk it until smooth.
- Put 1 tbsp warm water more if required.
- Glaze should be thin,
- Then use it immediately.
