Mirch Kofta by Zubaida Tariq

Ingredients:

  • Beef mince 1/2 kg
  • Poppy seeds 1 tbsp
  • White cumin 1 tsp
  • All spice few
  • Black gram 2 tbsp
  • Bread slices 2

For Gravy:

  • Green chilies 1/2 kg
  • White cumin 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Lemons 3
  • Onion paste 2
  • Oil 1 cup

Method:

  1. Cut edges of bread slices, crush it and mix in mince.
  2. Now mix bengal gram, poppy seeds, white cumin and all spice and grind it.
  3. Then mix grinded masala in mince and grind in chopped.
  4. Then add salt, make small small koftay and shallow fry it.
  5. Heat oil in pot, fry green chilies and take out.
  6. Now add onion paste and do light pink.
  7. Then put ginger garlic paste, turmeric and white cumin and roast it lightly.
  8. Then add fried green chilies, salt and lemon juice, roast it lightly and spread koftay.
  9. Now keep on simmer for 5 minutes.
  10. Mirch kofta is ready.
