Ingredients:

  • Green gram 1 cup
  • Sugar 1-1/2 cup
  • Khoya 250 gm
  • Raisins 1/2 cup
  • Pistachio 15
  • Almond 15
  • Small cardamom 6
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Ghee 1 cup

Method:

  1. Wash green gram and soak it.
  2. Also soak raisins in warm water.
  3. Boil pistachio and almond, peel and chop finely.
  4. Grind small cardamom with sugar.
  5. Now drain water of bengal gram, boil in fresh water. Remember it, lentil should be not thick. Then cool it and grind in chopper.
  6. Heat ghee in karahi pan, put cardamom powder and grinded lentil and roast it nicely.
  7. Then add sugar. When sugar syrup is made, then put khoya. Together mix few pistachio and raisins.
  8. Then, grease thaal and spread halwa.
  9. Put almond and pistachio on top. Decorate with silver paper if you want.
  10. Moong ki daal ka halwa is ready.
