Healthy Italian Cannelloni by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Beef mince 300 gm
  • Lasagna stripes 1/2 packet
  • Chopped garlic 1 tbsp
  • Crushed black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Egg 2
  • Chopped basil 1/3 tsp
  • Carrot 1
  • Oil 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

For Sauce:

  • White flour 1/2 cup
  • Milk 1/2 liter
  • Chicken stock 1/2 liter
  • Mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. For lasagna strips: Boil water in pan, put 1 tbsp oil, put lasagna stripes, boil for 10 minutes and then put in cold water.
  2. Then prepare all stripes, put oil and keep it aside so they don’t stick.
  3. For sauce: Add butter and white flour in pan and roast it.
  4. Then add milk and mix it nicely.
  5. Then add stock and salt and cook until sauce is thick. Then take it out.
  6. In another pan, heat oil and fry garlic. Add mince and roast it.
  7. When color changes, add carrot, tomato paste, crushed black pepper, chopped basil and salt and mix it.
  8. When mixture dries, add egg, mix it and remove it.
  9. Now cut lasagna stripes and put filling in center and roll it.
  10. Put roll in oven proof dish, put sauce on top, sprinkle cheese and bake in preheated oven on 200 degrees C.
  11. Then take out in platter and serve hot.
