Apple Crumble by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:
To Make Crumble:
- Flour 1 cup
- Brown sugar 1/2 cup
- Butter (cubed) 100 gm
- Butter for greasing
For Filling:
- Apples 4 medium
- Brown sugar 50 gm
- Flour 1 tbsp
- Cinnamon powder a pinch
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Method:
- Preheat oven for half an hour at 350 F or 180 C.
- Mix flour with sugar.
- Add butter and mix till it resembles breadcrumbs.
- Grease ovenproof dish with butter and place apples in a layer.
- Sprinkle sugar, flour, and cinnamon on apples.
- Cover apples with crumble topping and bake in preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
- Serve with custard or ice cream.
