Chana Daal Tinda Karahi by Rida Aftab

Ingredients:

  • Gram lentil 250 gm
  • Tinday 1/2 kg
  • Tomato paste 1-1/2 kg
  • Green chilies 4
  • Green coriander 1/2 bunch
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Tamarind paste 2 tsp
  • Curry leaves 6
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Oil 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Cut tinday into 2 pieces, heat oil, put in it, fry it and take it out.
  2. Now put tomato paste, ginger garlic paste, curry leaves, red chili powder, turmeric, all spice powder and salt and roast it nicely.
  3. Then add tinday and gram lentil in roasted masalay and cook for 20 minutes.
  4. When tinday tender, put water, tamarind paste, green chilies and green coriander, cook for 5 minutes and close stove.
