Apple Strudel by Sumera And Rabia

Ingredients:

  • Flour 18 oz
  • Oil 3 oz
  • Egg 2 oz
  • Salt 1/8 tsp
  • Water 8 oz

For Apple Filling:

  • Apples 6 lb
  • Sugar 1 lb
  • Vanilla 1 oz
  • Cinnamon 1 oz
  • Raisins 1/2 lb
  • Lemon zest 1 whole

For Bread Crumbs:

  • Plain bread crumbs 8 oz
  • Unsalted butter 3 oz

Method:

  1. Mix egg, salt and 1/3 water with flour.
  2. Now add remaining water slowly slowly until dough is soft.
  3. Then divide into two parts, knead it nicely and make smooth portions.
  4. Then brush with oil, wrap with plastic and keep in warm place for 30 minutes.
  5. Then put flour on one cloth, put one part of dough and brush some oil.
  6. Then roll it until it becomes in square shape and should be 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Then spread more with fingers.
  8. Then sprinkle roasted bread crumbs on 1/8 part of dough.
  9. Now put apple mixture.
  10. Now brush on remaining part of dough with butter.
  11. Then cut thick part with knife.
  12. Now roll it with the help of cloth.
  13. Then put whole batter on baking tray, grease with butter, put roll on top, brush stir roll with butter and sprinkle sugar.
  14. Then bake for 40 minutes on 375 degrees F.
  15. For apple filling: Wash apples and peel it.
  16. Now cut thin thin with knife.
  17. Then mix sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, raisins and lemon zest in it.
  18. Then add sugar according to apples.
  19. For bread crumbs: Heat butter, put in frying pan and melt it.
  20. Now put plain bread crumbs and cook on low flame.
  21. Then cool it.
