Thandai by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:
- Milk 1 liter
- Caster sugar 1/2 cup
- Saffron few
- Pistachios 2
To Be Ground Into A Fine Powder:
- Almonds 1/4 cup
- Poppy seeds 2 tbsp
- Fennel seeds 2 tbsp
- Cardamom 1/2 tsp
- White peppercorns 20
- Dry rose petals 12-15
Method:
- Boil milk.
- Add sugar to milk, let it cook till well blended.
- Allow milk to cool completely.
- Keep aside.
- Add ground powder and mix well.
- Refrigerate mixture for 3-4 hours.
- Strain mixture through a sieve, add few strands of saffron and mix well.
- Refrigerate n serve chilled.
