Keri Ki Chutney by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Keri peeled and sliced 1 kg
  • Sugar 750 gm
  • Crushed red pepper 3 tsp
  • Yellow color pinch
  • Lemon juice 4 tbsp
  • Cinnamon 2
  • Salt 1-1/2 tsp
  • Melon seeds 1 tsp
  • Button red chilies few

Method:

  1. Soak keri for 30 minutes in water.
  2. Now drain its water, put sugar, yellow color, cinnamon, salt, crushed red pepper and 2 cup water and cook until it is approx cooked and syrup is thick.
  3. Then put lemon juice, button red chilies and melon seeds and remove from stove.
  4. When it is cooled, fill in stir line jar.
