Spicy Fried Fish by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

  • Fish ½ kg
  • Lemon juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Gram flour 1 cup
  • Semolina 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder ½ tsp
  • Green chillies chopped or ground 3-4
  • Chopped coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • Egg 1
  • Water or less as required ¼ cup
  • Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Marinate fish with salt and lemon juice and keep aside.
  2. Mix gram flour with semolina, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, cumin powder, ginger garlic paste, garam masala powder, green chillies chopped or ground, egg and coriander leaves chopped.
  3. Add little water gradually.
  4. Heat oil. Coat fish with paste and fry till golden and crispy.
