Ingredients:

  • All purpose flour 500 gm
  • Yeast 1-1/2 tbsp
  • Baking powder 2 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Egg 1
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Put yeast and salt in lukewarm water and mix it until sugar and yeast is mixed well.
  2. Then leave it for rise.
  3. When it rises, add all purpose flour.
  4. Then add salt, egg and baking powder and knead it.
  5. Then put in mixing bowl, cover with plastic and leave on warm place for 3-4 hours.
  6. Now fold dough with hands.
  7. Make small small portions and roll like thick roti.
  8. Now grease oven tray with oil, set roti on tray and bake in preheated oven on 200 degrees C for 10 minutes and take out from oven.
  9. Pita bread is ready.
