Chanay Ki Daal Ka Halwa by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:
- Gram lentil 1/2 kg
- Sugar 1/2 kg
- Ghee 1-1/2 cup
- Milk 1 kg
- Crushed cardamom 4
- Green cardamom 1 tsp
- Khoya 1/2 cup
- Peeled & sliced almonds 3 tbsp
- Pistachios 3 tbsp
- Yellow food color 1 pinch
- Silver paper as required
Method:
- Boil soaked gram lentil in milk until tender and milk dries.
- Now cool it and grind daal.
- Heat ghee and fold crushed cardamom and grinded lentil. Then fry it nicely for 30 minutes until light brown.
- Then add sugar and cook it.
- When halwa seems to be thin, fry it nicely until ghee leave edges.
- Now add khoya, fry more for 10-15 minutes and take out in platter.
- Then sprinkle almonds and pistachios. Keep silver paper and cut into pieces.
