Chicken Ka Badami Korma by Zubaida Tariq

Ingredients:

  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Chopped onions 4
  • Small cardamoms 8
  • Chopped almonds 10
  • Ghee 1 cup
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Black cumin 1 tsp
  • Chopped ginger garlic 1 tbsp
  • Red chili 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tbsp
  • Poppy seeds 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Mix chicken, yogurt, chopped ginger garlic, red chili, coriander powder, salt and all spice powder in one big bowl and keep it.
  2. Heat ghee in pot, brown chopped onions, take out half onion and spread on paper.
  3. When crisp, crush with hands and mix in meat.
  4. Then put masala meat in pot, cover it and  cook on low flame.
  5. When water of meat dries, roast it lightly, add 2 cup water until meat tender.
  6. When ghee comes up, grind chopped almonds, poppy seeds, black cumin and small cardamoms, add it and keep on simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with roghni naan.
