Ingredients:
- Gram lentil 3 cups
- Sugar 2 cups
- Dry milk 2 cups
- Small cardamom 8
- Raisins 15
- Almonds 10
- Pistachio 15
- Walnuts 1/2 cup
- Oil/Ghee 2 cups
Method:
- Soak almonds and pistachios in hot water, peel it and grind finely.
- Now wash gram lentil with hot water, soak for 1 hour and boil it.
- When lentil is boiled, grind it.
- Then heat oil in karahi pan and put small cardamom.
- When fragrance comes, put lentil and roast it. When color of lentil is golden, put sugar and milk.
- When sugar is cooked, put peeled and chopped walnuts and raisins, roast for 5 minutes and close stove.
- Now grease wide tray and spread halwa.
- Sprinkle almonds and pistachio on top. When cool, cut into small pieces.
- Chanay ki daal ka halwa is ready.
