Fried Savoury Biscuits by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:
- Flour 1-1/2 cups
- Whole wheat flour 1/2 cup
- Plain flour 1 cup
- Sesame seeds 1-1/2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds 1/4 tbsp
- Red chili powder 1 tsp
- Green chili paste 1 tsp
- Hot oil/Ghee/Butter 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water as required
- Oil for deep frying
Method:
- Mix flour, salt, chili powder, ghee, salt, sesame seeds and cumin seeds and combine.
- Knead dough till smooth and firm.
- Roll out part of dough thickly.
- Use a fork to prick it.
- Cut lengthwise about an inch part using knife.
- Then cut into 2-inch squares.
- Heat enough oil for deep frying and cook squares till they turn golden, fry on medium flame to achieve crispness.
- If you reduce flame to low, chips will absorb lot of oil.
- Use a slotted ladle to remove onto an absorbent paper and cool.
- Cool completely before storing in an air tight metallic container.
