Burmese Pulao by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Onion 1
  • Tomatoes 4
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Chili powder 3 tsp
  • Ginger garlic 2 tbsp
  • Chaat masala 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice 1/4 tsp
  • Sesame seeds 1 tbsp
  • Salt 1-1/2 tsp
  • Boiled eggs 3
  • Coriander leaves 1/2 cup
  • Green chilies 6
  • Boiled noodles 1 cup
  • Wafer chips as required
  • Rice 1/2 kg
  • Suree sweet chili sauce 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Heat oil and fry onion with ginger garlic for 5 minutes.
  2. Now add chicken, tomatoes, turmeric, salt and chili powder and fry it nicely.
  3. Then put 1 cup water, cover it and cook until chicken tender.
  4. Now add green chilies and coriander leaves and keep on simmer.
  5. Then put sweet chili sauce.
  6. For assemble: Make 1 layer of boiled rice in one dish.
  7. Put boiled noodles on top. Sprinkle chaat masala.
  8. Make layer of boiled chicken.
  9. Then put boiled eggs and wafer chips and serve hot.
