Garam Masala Powder by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

  • Bay leaves 8
  • Black cardamoms 10-12 pieces
  • Cinnamon sticks 10-12 pieces
  • Coriander seeds 8 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds 3 tbsp
  • Cloves 2 tbsp
  • Nutmeg 1
  • Star anise 1-2
  • Black peppercorns 2 tbsp

Method 1:

  1. In a wok, dry roast all ingredients one by one.
  2. The spices should be roasted slowly until they are aromatic, then allow to cool and then grind into fine powder.

Method 2:

  1. Put all ingredients on plate.
  2. Dry these for 2-3 days under the sun and grind to powdered form afterwards.
  3. Store it in an airtight glass container for up to 3 months.
