Ingredients:
- Chicken 1 kg
- Rice 750 gm
- Water 4 cups
- Tomatoes 2
- Green chilies 6
- Whole spices 1 tbsp
- Salt 1 tbsp
- Chili powder 1/2 tsp
- Dried plum 10-12
- Oil 3/4 cup
- Onion 1
- All spice powder 1 tsp
For Potli:
- Onion 1
- Garlic cloves 15
- Ginger 2
- Whole coriander 2 tbsp
- Fennel seeds 2 tbsp
Method:
- For potli: Put all ingredients in muslin cloth and make potli.
- Put chicken with potli, water, tomatoes, green chilies, whole spices, salt, chili powder and dried plum and keep on simmer until chicken tender.
- Now take out chicken, strain stock and keep it aside.
- Heat oil and fry onion until golden.
- Then put chicken and fry until golden.
- Now put green chilies and tomatoes in chicken. Then add remaining stock. Put 2 tsp more salt and cook until it boils.
- Put all spice powder in rice, cook on high flame for 10 minutes and take out potli.
- Keep on simmer on low flame and serve hot.
