Aloo Chaat by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes 3
  • Red chili 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala to taste
  • Tamarind chutney to taste
  • Coriander leaves as required
  • Mint chutney as required

To Garnish:

  • Chopped onion as required
  • Tomato julienne as required
  • Pomegranate seeds as required
  • Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Heat oil in wok and deep fry potatoes, till golden brown and cooked through.
  2. Drain on paper.
  3. In bowl, place fried potatoes and toss with red chili powder, cumin powder and chaat masala.
  4. Add mint chutney, tamarind chutney, according to taste and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Serve with toothpicks, in individual bowls, garnished with coriander leaves.
  6. You can also garnish aloo chaat with chopped onion, tomato or pomegranate seeds.
