Roasted Almond Naan Khatai by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:
- Ghee 7 oz
- Caster sugar 6 oz
- Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
- Almonds with skin 3/4 cup
- Flour 12 oz
- Baking powder 2 tsp
- Baking soda 1/2 tsp
- Egg yolks 2
- Water 1 tbsp
Method:
- Melt ghee and cool it until set.
- Beat ghee and caster sugar until light and creamy.
- Then add cardamom powder and beat until it is white.
- Then strain flour, baking powder and baking soda.
- Now put in ghee and sugar mixture with almonds, mix it nicely, make 1 dough and knead it nicely.
- Now roll it, cut with cutter.
- Then mix egg yolks with water and brush it.
- In end, bake at 160 degrees C for 15 until light golden and crisp.
