Curry Pakora by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Yogurt 1/2 kg
  • Coriander leaves 1/4 bunch
  • Green chilies 6-8
  • Garlic 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Coconut milk powder 2 tbsp
  • Gram flour 4 tbsp
  • Salt 1-1/2 tsp

For Bhagar:

  • White cumin whole 1 tsp
  • Whole red chili 6
  • Garlic 4 cloves
  • Onion 1 sliced
  • Curry leaves 25
  • Oil 1/4 cup

For Pakora:

  • Gram flour 1 cup
  • Onion 1 sliced
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • Spring onion 1/2 cup
  • Green chilies 4
  • White cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Crushed red pepper 1 tsp
  • Baking soda 1/4 tsp

Method:

  1. For pakora: Put all ingredients in bowl, mix with water and beat it nicely.
  2. Now fry pakoray and add in curry.
  3. For curry: Grind green chilies and coriander leaves and make paste.
  4. Beat yogurt with 3 cup water.
  5. Now put gram flour, garlic, salt, coconut milk powder and turmeric and mix it nicely.
  6. Then strain it and cook it until it boils.
  7. Now cook it on low flame for 15 minutes, put bhagar and serve.
