Ingredients:

  • Sela rice 1/2 kg
  • Chicken 1/2 kg
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Sliced onion 1 cup
  • Ginger paste 2 tbsp
  • Garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 3 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 3 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 2 tbsp
  • Bay leaves 2-3
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Coriander 1/2 bunch
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Whole all spice as required
  • Fried onion 1
  • Mint leaves 1/2 cup
  • Orange food color 1 pinch
  • Lemon juice 1/2 cup
  • Red pumpkin 1
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. For rice: Wash rice and soak in water for 1-2 hours.
  2. Now put bay leaves, cumin and salt in water and boil it.
  3. When water boils, put rice, boiled it hard, strain it and keep it aside.
  4. For korma: Put salt, red chili powder, 1 tbsp ginger paste, 1 tbsp garlic paste and yogurt and make paste.
  5. Now marinate chicken with this paste and keep it aside.
  6. Heat oil in pan and crackle whole all spices.
  7. Now add fried onion and fry it.
  8. Now add 1 tbsp ginger paste and 1 tbsp garlic paste and fry it.
  9. Then add marinated chicken and remaining masala and roast it.
  10. Then put turmeric and tomatoes and roast it.
  11. When chicken tender, cook for 4-5 minutes on low flame and remove it.
  12. Korma is ready.
  13. For making layer: Open pumpkin from top and empty from center.
  14. Then put some oil.
  15. Then add chicken korma, rice, coriander and mint leaves.
  16. Make layer like this and put fried onion.
  17. Dissolve orange color in water and put on rice.
  18. Put lemon juice on all sides, close pumpkin and simmer it in preheated oven on 200 degrees C.
  19. When simmer is completed, then dish out it.
