Chicken Do Piyaza by Zubaida Tariq

Ingredients:

  • Chicken 14 pieces or 1-1/2 kg
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Oil 1 cup
  • All spices as required
  • Green chilies 4
  • Garlic 6 cloves
  • Chopped onions 8
  • Red chilies 8
  • Dry mango pieces 4-5
  • Fennel seeds 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Coriander seeds 1 tsp
  • Chopped ginger 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat oil in pot, put chopped onions, fry until light pink and take it out.
  2. Now put chicken pieces.
  3. Add turmeric and salt in chicken and dry its own water.
  4. Then roast it lightly, put fried onion, yogurt, chopped ginger, garlic cloves, red chilies, dry mango pieces, fennel seeds, coriander seeds and all spices and cook on low flame.
  5. When water dries, roast it lightly and put green chilies.
  6. Serve chicken do piyaza with hot hot chapati.
