Chocolate Cups by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

  • Chopped chocolate 4 oz
  • Coffee 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1 pinch
  • Cream 1 cup
  • Caster sugar 3 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Stir chocolate, instant coffee, and salt together in medium bowl.
  2. Heat cream, sugar, and vanilla essence in saucepan, stirring constantly, until it just begins to simmer.
  3. Pour hot cream mixture over chocolate mixture, let sit for 1 minute.
  4. Whisk chocolate and cream mixture for 1-2 minutes until combined.
  5. Pour mixture into four small espresso cups.
  6. Tap to remove any air bubbles.
  7. Chill thoroughly in refrigerator for at least 4 hours. Serve topped with grated chocolate or add lightly whipped cream and dust with cocoa.
