Chicken Aloo by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Onion 1
  • Tomatoes 4
  • Tomato paste 1 tbsp
  • Cinnamon 2 inch stick
  • Green chilies whole 3
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Potatoes 3
  • Cream 3 tbsp
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • White cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves chopped 2-3 tbsp

Method:

  1. Heat oil and fry cinnamon, cumin powder and onion for 5 minutes.
  2. Now put ginger garlic paste with chicken, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, chili powder, white cumin seeds and salt and fry it nicely.
  3. Also add some water, cover it and cook for 15 minutes.
  4. Now remove lid (cover), add blended tomatoes, tomato paste and potatoes cubes, cover it and cook until chicken and potatoes as ready.
  5. In end, add cream, green chilies and coriander leaves.
