Maple syrup muffins

Ingredients:

For the muffins:
  • Unsalted butter 7 tbsp
  • milk 1/3 cup
  • egg 1 
  • egg yolk 1 
  • maple syrup 1 tbsp
  • vanilla essence 1 tbsp
  • flour 1-1/2 cup
  • sugar 3/4 cup
  • baking powder 1-1/2 tsp
  • salt 1/8 tsp
For the maple glaze:
  • Maple syrup 1/2 cup
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp

Method:


Amrati

Ingredients:

Sugar 1 kg
Lentil 1/2 kg
corn flour 1 tsp
orange colour as req
ghee for frying

Method:

  • Make a syrup of water and sugar.
  • Soak the lentils for 2-3 hours , then add in orange colour and corn flour.
  • Add the mixture into a cloth and close tightly.
  • Heat up the ghee in a pan. Then put the mixture in it and make 3 rings.
  • When its cooked take it out and dip it in the sugar syrup
  • Garnish with pistachios

Shami Kabaab

Ingredients:

  • Chickpea lentil 1 /4 kg
  • Mince 1/4 kg
  • eggs 4-5 
  • red chili powder 1 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • green coriander 1 tbsp
  • mint 1 tbsp
  • garam masala (all spice) 1/2 tsp
  • salt 1/4 tsp
  • oil for frying 

Method:

  1. In a pan cook mince,soaked lentils,3-4 cup water,salt,red chili, powdered coriander and garam masala
  2. When the water evaporates crush the lentils in a chopper.
  3. Also add in green coriander, green chilies, mint, egg and mix well.
  4. In a bowl whisk eggs.
  5. Now make kabaabs out of the mixture and dip it in the egg and fry.
  6. Serve with ketchup and chutney
