Mutton Stew by Chef Saadat Siddiqui

Ingredients:

  • Oil - 1 cup
  • Onions - 750 gms
  • Mutton - 500 gms
  • Chopped garlic - 1 tbsp
  • Chopped ginger - 1 tbsp
  • Red Chilies - 8 to 10
  • Turmeric - 1 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black Cumin(long) - 6 - 7
  • Daar Cheeni - 3 sticks
  • Tez Patta - 2
  • Black Cardamom - 5 to 6
  • Zeera - 1 tbsp
  • Tomatoes - 2 to 3
  • Yogurt - 1/2 cup
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves - for garnishing
  • Green Chilies - for garnishing

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add onions and cook till they become soft.
  2. Then fry mutton in it.
  3. Now add chopped garlic, chopped ginger, red chilies, turmeric, salt, black cumin, daar cheeni, tez patta, black cardomon, zeera, tomatoes and cover the lid.
  4. When mutton gets fully cooked, mix it well and add yogurt in it.
  5. Again mix it well for 5 minutes and garnish with fresh coriander leaves and green chilies.
