Lucknowi Rice by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Sela rice 250 gm
  • Garlic 4-5
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Green chili 2-3
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Bay leaves 8-10
  • Lemon juice 1 tsp
  • Stock 1/2 liter
  • Orange food color 1 pinch
  • Oil 2-3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat oil in pan and crackle mustard seeds.
  2. Then fry garlic cloves and add stock.
  3. When it boils, add salt, food color, turmeric and rice and boil it.
  4. Rice is cooked, add green chilies, mix it, give bhagar of bay leaves, dosh out and serve.
