Ingredients:

  • Butter 4 oz
  • Eggs 2
  • Caster sugar 1 cup
  • Flour 1 cup
  • Almonds ground 1/2 cup
  • Sour cream 1/2 cup
  • Warm water 1/4 cup
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Coffee 1 tsp
  • Flaked almonds 2 tbsp
  • Cocoa powder 2 tbsp

For Icing:

  • Icing sugar 1-1/2 cup
  • Butter 2-1/2 oz
  • Coffee 1 tsp
  • Coco powder 1 tbsp
  • Boiling water 1-2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Grease 8 inch ring pan nicely.
  2. Mix coffee in water.
  3. Now put cocoa powder and blend it.
  4. Then put butter, sugar and vanilla essence separate and beat with batter until fluffy.
  5. Now add egg yolks one by one and beat it continuously.
  6. Add cream and almonds and mix it nicely.
  7. Strain flour and baking powder and add in butter mixture.
  8. Also add coffee and cocoa powder mixture.
  9. Beat egg whites separately.
  10. Then put in flour mixture and fold it.
  11. Now put this mixture in greased pan, bake in preheated oven on 180 degrees C for 40 minutes, take it out and cool it.
  12. Spread icing sugar and sprinkle flaked almonds.
  13. For icing: Mix icing sugar, coco powder and butter in bowl.
  14. Then add coffee powder and 2 tbsp coco powder in boiling water.
  15. Now add this mixture in butter mixture and beat it nicely.
