Haray Masalay Ki Daal by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Green gram lentils 250 gm
  • Red lentils 250 gm
  • Fresh coriander 1 bunch
  • Chopped mint 1 bunch
  • Chopped tomatoes 2-3
  • Green chilies 8-10
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Whole cumin 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Crushed red chili 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic 2 tbsp
  • Oil 3-4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Make paste of fresh coriander, salt, mint leaves and green chilies.
  2. Clean both lentils and wash it nicely.
  3. Then put both in pot, add turmeric, water and salt and tender lentils.
  4. Then heat oil in pan, crackle cumin, add ginger garlic and roast it.
  5. Now add tomatoes and cook until its rawness is finished.
  6. Then add salt, red chili, all spice powder, turmeric and hara masala and roast it nicely.
  7. When oil comes up, add lentils and water and cook more for 5-10 minutes.
  8. In end, take out in dish, garnish with coriander, give bhagar of garlic and serve.
