Daal Makhni by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:
- Green gram 1 cup
- Red kidney beans 1/2 cup
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Ginger paste 1 tbsp
- Garlic paste 1 tbsp
- All spice powder 1 tsp
- Red chili powder 1 tbsp
- Tomato 1
- Onion 1
- Cream 1/2 cup
- Butter 1/2 cup
- Baking soda 1/2 tsp
- Ghee 2-3 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Soak green gram overnight in mixing bowl.
- Soak red kidney beans with soda overnight in mixing bowl.
- Now put water as required with kidney beans, green gram, salt, chili powder and ginger paste in pot and cook until lentil tender.
- Heat butter in pot, add cumin seeds and crackle it.
- Then add onion and fry until brown.
- Now add garlic paste and tomato and roast until masalay separates.
- Now add lentil and beans and mix it.
- Then add all spice powder and cook on low flame.
- Now add cream, mix it and take out in dish.
- In end, serve with naan or parathay.
