Beef Biryani by Rida Aftab

Ingredients:

  • Sela rice (boiled) 1/2 kg
  • Potatoes 3
  • Boiled beef 1/2 kg
  • Yogurt 250 gm
  • Tomatoes 250 gm
  • Chopped green chilies 2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tsp
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • Crushed chili powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Mixed all spices 1 tbsp
  • Star anise 4
  • Mace powder 1/2 tsp
  • Nutmeg powder 1/2 tsp
  • Chaat masala 2 tsp
  • Chinese salt 1/2 tsp
  • Finely chopped ginger 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Plum 50 gm
  • Curry leaves 6
  • Green coriander 1/2 bunch
  • Mint leaves 1/2 bunch
  • Yellow food color 1/2 tsp
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Fried onions 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Put 1 cup water, yogurt, red chili powder, crushed chili powder, turmeric, salt, oil, mixed all spices, all spice powder, ginger garlic paste, Chinese salt, nutmeg, mace and star anise in pan and mix it.
  2. Now put in pot, add beef and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Then put potatoes and roast it.
  4. When half tender, put food color in yogurt and spread it.
  5. Put fried onion, tomatoes, plum, green coriander, mint leaves, chaat masala, curry leaves and chopped ginger and put rice.
  6. Now put 1/2 cup oil, simmer it for 30 minutes and close stove.
