Chuqandar Gosht by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Mutton 1/2 kg
  • Beetroots peeled 1/2 kg
  • All spice 1 tsp
  • Onion 2
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Tomatoes 4
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Green chilies 3
  • Coriander leaves chopped 3 tbsp
  • Oil 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Heat oil, put onion and fry until light golden.
  2. Now put ginger garlic paste, tomatoes, salt, chili powder, turmeric and mutton and fry it nicely.
  3. Then add 1-1/2 cup water, cover it and cook it until meat is cooked.
  4. Now put beetroots with 1/2 cup water, cover it and cook until beetroots tender.
  5. In end, put all spice, lemon juice and green chilies and simmer it.
  6. Then fry it nicely, take it out, garnish with green coriander and serve.
