Vegetable Tempura by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes (slices) 125 gm
  • Carrot (slices) 125 gm
  • Capsicum (slices) 125 gm
  • Onion (slices) 125 gm
  • Lettuce leaves for garnish

For Batter:

  • Gram flour 1 cup
  • Corn flour 1/2 cup
  • Crushed red chili 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Oyster sauce 2 tbsp
  • Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Cut potatoes, carrot, capsicum and onion into finely slices.
  2. Now put gram flour, corn flour, red chili, turmeric powder, all spice powder, garlic paste, oyster sauce, soda and salt in mixing bowl and make batter.
  3. Then heat oil in pan, dip vegetables slices in batter and deep fry it.
  4. Now take it out, garnish with lettuce leaves and serve.
