Chocolate Chip Cookies Serving Bowl by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

  • Butter (softened) 1/2 cup
  • Brown sugar 1/2 cup
  • Caster sugar 1/4 cup
  • Egg (large) 1
  • Egg yolk 1
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Salt 1/4 tsp
  • Baking powder 1/8 tsp
  • Flour 1-3/4 to 2 cups
  • Chocolate chips 1 cup

Method:

  1. Beat butter, brown sugar and caster sugar.
  2. Add egg, egg yolk and vanilla and beat until well combined.
  3. Combine salt and baking powder with 1-1/2 cups of flour.
  4. Add to wet ingredients and stir just to combine.
  5. If the dough is sticky, add remaining 1/4 cup flour.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Line outside of bowl with non-stick tin foil, making sure non-stick side is facing out.
  8. Roll cookie dough out into a large circle.
  9. Drape it over tin foil lined bowl, cut off any excess dough.
  10. Freeze for 30 minutes.
  11. Bake at 180 degrees C for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Allow cookie bowl to cool for about 20 minutes then lift it up off the bowl.
  13. Allow it to cool completely.
  14. Cover bowl in plastic wrap and store at room temperature.
  15. Do not put it in an airtight container or it will get too soft and break.
  16. Fill with cookies before serving.
