Soya Daal by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Moong ki daal 250 gm
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Garlic 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • White cumin whole 1/2 tsp
  • Soya 1 cup
  • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Chopped onion 1/2 cup
  • Button red chilies 4-5
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Chopped green chilies 2
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Soak moong ki daal in 1 cup water for 1 hour.
  2. Now put in pan and boil for 10 minutes.
  3. During boil, remove bubbles from top.
  4. Then put salt, chili powder, garlic, turmeric and cumin whole and cook until daal tender and water dries.
  5. Now heat oil in second pan and fry onion.
  6. Then add red chilies, tomato slice and green chilies and fry it.
  7. Now add boiled daal.
  8. Then mix soya and simmer it.
  9. In end, put coriander leaves and green chilies and serve.
