Mutton Stew by Chef Saadat Siddiqui

Ingredients:

  • Oil - 1 cup
  • Onion - 750 gms
  • Mutton - 500 gms
  • Chopped Garlic - 1 tbsp
  • Chopped Ginger - 1 tbsp
  • Whole Red Chili - 8 to 10
  • Turmeric - 1 tsp
  • Salt - as required
  • Black Cumin - 6 to 7
  • Cinnamon - 3 sticks
  • Taiz Patta - 2
  • Black Cardamom - 5 to 6
  • Zeera - 1 tbsp
  • Tomatoes - 2 to 3
  • Yogurt - 1/2 cup
  • Fresh Coriander leaves - for garnish
  • Green Chilies - for garnish

Method:

  1. In a pan, heat oil and saute onions till soft.
  2. Add mutton and fry a little.
  3. Now add chopped garlic, chopped ginger, whole red chili, turmeric, salt, black cumin, cinnamon,  taiz patta, black cardamom, zeera, tomatoes, yogurt and leave it on dum.
  4. When mutton gets ready, keep on mixing it well.
  5. Keep mixing well and add green chilies and fresh coriander.
  6. Serve hot.
