Aloo Bukharay Ki Chutney by Zubaida Tariq

Ingredients:

  • Dried plums 2 packets
  • Tamarind paste 1 cup
  • Boiled almonds 10
  • Onion seeds 1 tsp
  • Red chilies 10
  • Chopped ginger 2 tbsp
  • Sugar or Jaggery 1 cup
  • White vinegar 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Soak dried plums in hot water.
  2. When soft and mash with hands nicely.
  3. Now mix tamarind paste in it.
  4. Then mix plums, tamarind paste, sugar or jaggery, almonds, ginger, red chilies, onion seeds and vinegar in sand wok and cook on low flame.
  5. When chutney is thick, remove it, cool it, mix salt and keep in bottle.
  6. Aloo bukharay is ready.
