Crispy Chili Beef by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Undercut thinly sliced 1/2 kg
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • White pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Egg 1
  • Corn flour 2 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds 2 tsp
  • Chili oil 2 tbsp
  • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Crushed garlic 1 tbsp
  • Chili garlic sauce 2 tbsp
  • Wooster shier sauce 1 tbsp
  • Oyster sauce 2 tbsp
  • Spring onion 3
  • Green chilies 6

For Batter:

  • Flour 1/4 cup
  • Corn flour 2 tbsp
  • Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  • Egg 1
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Chilled water to make batter

Method:

  1. Marinate beef with salt, white pepper, egg, corn flour, sesame seeds, chili oil and batter and mix it nicely.
  2. Then deep fry for 10 minutes until crisp and brown.
  3. For batter: Put all ingredients in bowl, mix it and make batter.
  4. For gravy: Heat oil and fry garlic until light golden.
  5. Then add fried beef with green chilies, spring onion, wooster shier sauce, oyster sauce and chili garlic sauce, toast it nicely and take it out.
