Chicken Lickin by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Chicken - 1/2 kg (2 tikka pieces)
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • White Pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Soya Sauce - 1 tbsp
  • Vinegar - 1 tbsp

Ingredients for Sauce:

  • Oil - 1/4 cup
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Crushed Red Pepper - 1 tsp
  • Black Pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp
  • Garlic Paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Vinegar - 1 tbsp
  • Tomato paste - 1 tbsp
  • Sriracha Sauce - 2 tbsp
  • Ringed Onions - 1
  • Finely chopped Tomatoes - 2

Method:

  1. Make cuts on the chicken.
  2. Marinate the chicken with salt, white pepper, soya sauce and vinegar.
  3. Now put the chicken pieces in a sauce pan, cover the lid and cook on a low flame without water.
  4. After 15 minutes, grill it and take it out.
  5. To make sauce, heat oil and fry. Add garlic paste, black pepper and ringed onions, fry till the onions get soft.
  6. Cook finely chopped tomatoes, salt, crushed red pepper, sugar, vinegar, tomato paste, sriracha sauce together till the oil is seen on top.
  7. Now coat the sauce in the chicken nicely and take it out in a platter.
  8. Over the platter, add the left sauce and serve with rice and coleslaw.
