Bhapa Doi by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

  • Yogurt 1 kg
  • Condensed milk 1 can (14 oz)
  • Almonds (sliced) 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Pour yogurt into strainer with muslin and set it over bowl.
  2. Cover and refrigerate until yogurt has reached consistency of soft cream cheese, about 8 hours.
  3. Preheat an oven to 175 degrees C.
  4. Grease an 8-inch dish.
  5. Discard liquid that has drained from yogurt.
  6. Place yogurt into bowl, and whisk in condensed milk.
  7. Pour into prepared pan.
  8. Bake in preheated oven until mixture is firm and top is lightly browned, about 30 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven, and sprinkle almonds over top.
  10. Cool to room temperature before slicing into wedges and serving.
